Heat Transfer Equipment · ASME-Certified Fabrication

Storage is half the plant. Heat transfer is the other half.

Shell and tube exchangers, surface condensers, reboilers, coolers, evaporators, and process heaters — engineered and built by Krueger Engineering and Manufacturing, a TF Warren Company, in a 110,000 sq. ft. ASME-certified Houston shop.

Krueger Engineering and Manufacturing

KEMCO has spent more than 70 years building custom heat transfer equipment for petrochemical, refining, gas processing, and power generation — the projects other shops could not or would not take on. Adding them to our line means the exchangers, condensers, and reboilers around your tanks can come from the same coordinated specification as the tanks themselves.

The Equipment

Custom-built. Not catalog-picked.

Every unit is designed to the process conditions you actually run — thermal and mechanical design, fabrication, heat treatment, and testing under one roof, so nothing gets lost between an engineering house and a job shop.

Shop Capability

A shop sized for the hard stuff.

110,000 sq. ft. of covered floor on 27 acres in Houston, with a dedicated rail spur and Port of Houston proximity — scale that keeps heavy, long-lead equipment moving instead of queued.

  • 80-Ton Lifting, 32′ Underhook
Overhead cranes to 80 tons with 32 feet of underhook clearance — heavy bundles and long shells handled in-house.
  • Heat Treating to 60 Feet
In-house post-weld heat treatment for units up to 60 feet long, plus onsite blasting and painting — no schedule lost to outside vendors.
  • Pressure Testing to 10,000 PSIG
CNC machining, precision welding, and hydrostatic testing to 10,000 psig, with rigorous quality control at every phase.
  • Materials Range
Carbon steel, low alloy, stainless steel, nickel alloys, and duplex materials — the metallurgy matched to the service, the same discipline we bring to tank coatings.

Everything the unit needs, under one roof.

Forming, welding, machining, heat treatment, and testing all happen in the same building — which is why complex and heavy-wall work does not stall between subcontractors.

Frequently Asked

Answers before you submit.

Krueger Engineering and Manufacturing (KEMCO), a TF Warren Company, designs and fabricates it in their Houston facility. They have been building custom heat transfer equipment for more than 70 years, and they are part of the same group behind Tarsco Bolted Tank and Blastco — the partners already behind our bolted tank and coatings lines.
Yes. The shop is ASME Code certified, with in-house welding, post-weld heat treatment, and pressure testing to 10,000 psig, plus quality control applied at every phase of fabrication rather than only at final inspection.
That is the point of adding the line. Tanks, covers, coatings, foundations, instrumentation, and now heat transfer equipment can be specified and priced together, so one team owns the interfaces instead of you refereeing between a tank supplier and a vessel shop.
Carbon steel, low alloy, stainless steel, nickel alloys, and duplex materials. Material selection follows the service chemistry, temperature, and pressure — the same failure-mode-first approach we apply to tank coatings and linings.
